Are there any maths experts out there? I'm stuck with a problem, and what with there being 20 years between me going to uni and now, I can't remember how to do it!
any help at all would be most useful!
I basically need to find a function from a table of results, and then calculate a further result. full problem below!
thanks in advance!
Andy
A Ni-Fe-Cr cathode experiments oxidisation at 950 ºC, with an increase in mass (M) for a given area (S) and time (t). The speed of oxidisation is dW/dt = k/W, where W = M/S. Determine:
A) A mathematical expression for the function W^2 = f(t)
B) Extent of the oxidisation after 100 hours
M (mg) S (mm2) t (minutos)
0.21 33 15
0.67 67 50
