Hello! I'm wondering what model this Motobecane is,and how much it can cost at this condition. If you know something about french bikes, please let me know 😁 I follow only Italian line of classic road bikes.
Serial number is 6000518, so it was made 1960?
Thank you!

My best guess it's a '78 or '79 TR2, based on the various details, such as the seat cluster, dropouts, cable guides and stops. But Motobecane made different bikes for different markets, so it may have had a different name originally where this particular bike was sold.

The front derailleur could be original, and could provide a clue as to its age. Huret used a four-digit week and year code.

The TA triple chainset is a very nice upgrade. Worth more than the rest of the bike, probably. If you're looking to sell the bike I'd replace those cranks and sell them seperately.

Market values tend to vary per location, so can't help with that I'm afraid.

Here's a late seventies TR2 for comparison:

Wow! Thank you for such detailed explanation! What is the name of this triple chainset, so I can look for it on internet? PS I'm located in Turin Italy, very close to France, so story of bike is obvious 🤣
