hung kinda dodgy....

Re:

It seems pretty solid in there. Im just one of those people that if something doesn't go as I wanted it to, then it bugs me. I'm pretty much over it now....thanks for the 'support' (pun intended)

Famous last words above.

Like living dangerously?

Got a good lawyer?

Keep an ear out.

Needs to be well hung. Especially in Brighton.

If you're worried. Third screw with a chain or wire to the top back of frame. If it ever were to go anywhere it would drop down the wall rather than peel away from it.

Or square edged coach bolts.

Or crash helmets for the kids.

Re:

I wouldn't want a 20kg MIRROR crashing down on me or my kids. It could easily kill a small child.
If you're not confident, get someone to check it.

Someone mentioned wall bolts earlier, I'd use those now, having small children. Before kids I would have used screws and plugs and made sure they were in the brick, not in the mortar.

Re:

It's a chimney breast, so not much in the way of mortar. It's was all red brick dust that came out. Made sure the plugs were well in and used 60mm screw lengths.
It's still up and I'm checking it daily. If it ever looks like it's moved slightly then it'll be off the wall and those bolt things will be slapped in good and proper.
