Ride to York 1day! I did, mostly country 'B' roads & some tracks, flat mostly some challenging hills, York is lovely! Some signs are misleading as appear in no particular order, when compared to their distance, but you get the idea, keep going your miles away yet & how/when are you going to find your way back when it's dark & your tired!!
