Thing is, the stem is stuck in the forks so I have to be sure I can maneouvre the bars through the stem with minimum difficulty. I will measure the gap and come back to you...

What's the diameter of the bars at the thickest point?

Why not remove the stuck stem? Or get soneone to do it fir you?

because I'm working to a budget which doesn't include bike shops. Ive tried some other bars and they seem to fit but will go with yours if the diameter is OK

it's easier than you think, but fair enough..

my bars are 25.4mm

The bars are exactly the same width as my stem and while I'm sure they probably are compatible Im not going to take the risk when I can't get the stem out. I don't want to get in a wrestling match with them. So, sorry I'm going to have to pass on buying your bars on this occasion. Mark
