Me and Chrisv40 love noseying around disused airfields, I was slightly uneducated as to just how many there are locally (East Yorkshire) and didnt realise that this whole area was bomber command county, i know a hell of a lot more now thankfully!!

Of course there is no reason why the Defence budget should pay for it and no reason why heritage, culture etc budgets shouldn't take it on.
Saying that I have no idea where you are talking about.

I do think this is something that should be funded via the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

If nothing else, to preserve it from future cuts in the military budget.

I am sure there are more of those around the corner.
