I dont know if these are retro enough for anyone to know (or care  )

I bought a pair of Stratos FR4 forks from MAXTHEROTTI on here.

because of my weight (16.5 stone  ) they were a little bit squishy under me

I searched the www for some information on how to adjust them to make

the damping & rebound more suited to me, but its as if they never existed!!

I think they had a lawsuit problem with Specialized B.I.T.D and were forced to stop production & shut up shop!

Their website vanished along with any hope of finding instructions/diagrams

So.................
Thats what I'm hoping someone on here can help with (anything really)

Diagrams , Instructions, anything that will tell me how to adjust & what the wee red nipple on top of the right stantion does ;)

Cheers

Gary C

P.S
they are fitted to my sv700, pics below in my link

i have no idea lol

OK bud, maybe one of our bretheren Stateside might have some info,

I think they were more commonplace over there :?:

 Gc

Can you post a pic? I have dealt with loads of MX6, S7 and rear shocks can you jog my memory and I should be able to help.

I spoke to Mike at Stratos in Santa Barbara, CA last May. Much smaller, but he did quote me on repair. Specialized basically sued him out of business.

Phone is 805-966-2509.

Nice one!!

I dont suppose you would have an e-mail address for him by any chance?

I dont fancy paying the shipping when the work would be a fraction of the cost

Thanks

I just spoke to Mike. He asked to keep the email traffic down, and is agreeable to send rebuild kits to the UK for your forks and shocks. Also, this will probably be the last year for them, as parts inventory are running low. If people want him to service shocks and forks, he recommends a batch load to keep shipping costs down.

He also mentioned that your fork is one of the best products Stratos developed.

Email is;

Mete@StratosUSA.com

Good Luck, Terry

Thankyou so so much !

Thats a result i was never expecting to get!!

I will send mike an e-mail and keep you posted with my results!
