Gunnar Ruffian

I know this is an old post but I only just came across it and realised this is my frame. I rebuilt it after you returned it to me and have been riding it ever since. The rebuild included new chain stays, sliding dropouts and removal of the brake bosses. These frames new are now nearly £2000. Also, there’s so much clearance in the rear triangle that it enabled me to build it as a 650b. It’s an amazing bike. I’m currently in the process of stripping and refinishing it again. It just doesn’t want to die. It will look very different from these photos when completed.

Is there any award for thread resurrection? This must be one of the oldest thread popped-up ever! :)
Although, absolutely worth it, since this bike looks realy bad-ass and has a story to tell. I like it very much. ;)

If you think that it looks good now, wait till I’m done. 🤟🙂 There will be more to follow in the coming decades. 😂😂
No point rushing now is there. You’ve waited about 11 yrs already.

LOL love this 'from the dead' bump. 10 years! Lots of memories.

The amount of similar non starter projects I've had since!

The RST XMO went away for a service and never came back.

The Midwinter Oakley tea cup was part of a full(ish) dinner service I bought in an antique shop on Mansfield Rd and all that remains is one pasta bowl!

And the original post was 4 days after my 2nd child was born  - priorities!
