Hi everyone,

This year i wanted a summer project, so i split my faithful old zaskar down to the frame to rebuild it in time for then... So may is here and now that the UK sun is making an early appearance, its given me a nudge to get started
Ive been slowly collecting parts for the last year, and ive got enough to make a rolling chassis, so fingers crossed it should be a quick build from here on out..

The graphics ive just replaced, and for a 24yr/o rider the frame really is in lovely condition.

Lovely, not long come in after a ride on mine and i'm hoping to start my 2018 refresh shortly!

I've always liked the look of this frame, looking forward to the build :)

The old forks will be put to good use soon

Re:

Cheers guys

Its gonna be set up for the road ie rigid, light weight and fast.. and 90s correct where possible.

Sounds good ian, I’m sure I’ll see the update soon. Andy, glad they’re going to good use mate. They spent too long in the garage

Re:

it took a while to find a pair of GT bologna Lite forks that had a 1 1/8" ahead steerer, which hadn't been hacked down stupidly short. But i found these ones on ebay amongst a job-lot of crap with a "sum bike parts 4 sale" type description

they were tatty, a faded pale green colour with surface rust but most importantly that steerer tube was uncut at around 200mm. So i took them down to the guy i use for all my motorcycle powdercoating and they came back like this

park tools ey? ;)

looking good already :)

Cheers. Its coming along and luckily i have most of the parts ready to fit. Its more finding the time to do so that can be difficult, when you just want to crack on with it
