GT Karakoram K2 All Terra - 18 inch frame

Does anyone know about what year this GT Karakoram K2 would be?
It is different from the other GT Karakoram K2 I have posted here before.
This one is an 18 inch frame and the handlebar stem has a built-on guide wheel for the front brake cable.
I picked up the frame for $40.00 and I would like to rebuild it with the original spec components.

It's late 80's. 88 would be my guess.

Would anyone know the specs for the components on this bike?
One member here said it is probably a 1988 year bike.

Yes this is it bigger frame but the handlebar stem is a bit different so maybe !988 but has specs thanks

I still think its an '88, or earlier.

The '89 (and onwards) also has the pierced stem in 1 1/8". Yours looks like a 1"?

The '89 decals are also different to the ones on your bike.

the one for sale on ebay looks like it too has the purple/pink specks on the frame.
there is one photo a close up of the seat tube/ triple triangle area where it looks very similar once you blow up the photo and use the zoom.

those other ones are blue/black coloured frames.

it would be great if we could sort the correct spec for this frame between us all.

what i meant about the stem earlier is that maybe the one on yours might be shorter hense the need for the roller,just for smoother operation?
