Good frames in auction on Thursday

No idea of the provenance but a number of good retro road frames for sale as individual lots from 570 through to the end of the sale. Estimates look a bit on the low side.

I went and viewed them on Tuesday, they were all solid frames in pretty reasonable condition but the catalogue photos made them look a little better than they were.

The Bates and Cinelli were both really nice, I was interested in the Argos, but it was a bit so-so and I did not bother bidding. Most sold below estimate and some did not sell at all.

Odd place, I have never been there before, very ...erm, traditional.

Good thing that I didn't go or bid online as those realised prices would have been too tempting (even with +20% buyers premium).
