Gios Torino Professional - the white edition

Great bike, great pictures. Shows that one doesn't need a lot of money for expensive parts to create a beautiful bike, thumbs up!

By the way, is there any reason for the twist in the toe strap?

The twist keeps the strap in place. Without the twist the strap could begin to wander around and if needed to be opend fast, you cant find the buckle.... And Crash!

More and more I wish I build this bike for myself

A nice Christmas gift :xmas-cool: :xmas-big-grin: :xmas-wink: :xmas-cool: :xmas-big-grin: :xmas-wink: :xmas-cool: :xmas-big-grin: :xmas-wink: :xmas-big-grin: :xmas-cool: :xmas-wink: :xmas-big-grin: :xmas-wink:

Very nice, you've done an excellent job on it. I hope your friend appreciates it!

Regarding the wooden fork bung, I remember being told/advised about this many years ago by Merseyside roadmen who used a piece of broom handle. They said it was in case of the steerer breaking, the bung would hold it all together. Never heard about the 'comfort' angle.

Today this white Gios Torino Professional has it's maiden trip.

We did four great historical places:

1) Forrest Wallers Arenberg
2) Carrefour de L'Abre
Both 5 star cobblestone section in Parijs-Roubaix

3) Oude Kwaremont
4) De Muur van Geraardsbergen
Both famous hills in the history of the Tour the Flanders

Four great places as a maiden trip in one day! It's was cold and a little wet but it was fun. Now editing some photo's with a dram of whisky the cold and wet is gone and great memories are on the top.

The bike was ok and next year the bike will be put in the hardest conditions in some Belgium, France (both cobbles) and Italian (strade bianche).

It was fun to build this bike for my friend and it was even greater fun to shoot these pics at the maiden trip.

And where is the whisky...............ok ok SLAINTE!

I love project like this. Not just build a bike but trying to take a few nice "studio" pics and a few on the move. Just fun

Oh damn, bike orgasm :). Awesome pictures! Just perfect :). Especially the ones in het bos van Wallers! Wish I had the talent and equipment to photograph my bikes like this!
