Reached out to David at the MKM Cycles website which deals with the history etc of the brand. He was unsure that it was an MKM Ultimate but reached out to Steve Elsworth to see if he recognised the frame.
Today Steve has confirmed that it is one of his frames, bulit in 1985, and has said that with the concealed brake and gear cables it would not have been a cheap frame.
