Hello all, I'm hoping the collective knowledge of the board can help me identify a couple of frames I've picked up recently? I want to restore and build them both and always prefer to badge them correctly if I can so any help would be appreciated.
This is the second of the two and has a few distinguishing features but I have my doubts about the Bianchi decals being correct:
its lugless and had a lot of chrome originally with the original colour being a metallic purple (which I have seen on Bianchi's).
I would say it's Columbus tubing at a guess but don't know which.
The rear brake cable bosses on the top tube look quite distinctive in thier positioning, as does the two little cable guide rings for the shifter cables on the head tube..
the ends and droputs are Columbus and the only otehr markings I can see are a big S on its side on the bottom bracket and what looks like a 3 or 4 digit number that I can't make out.
I weighs in at 2850g as you see it so just frame, forks and headset
I'm also not convinced it would actually pass as retro and could actually be a bit too modern.
