What do people hang on them? I have a NOS Ever Ready Nightrider from the 80s which I've fitted with a Nicelite LED "bulb" and some AA-D adaptors so it will run on 4 x lithium AA cells - this makes it pretty bright - certainly an excellent "be seen" light due to its massive lens - and very lightweight, although the beam patterm is no better than it was with the original krypton bulb, and creamy grey plastic doesn't really suit any bike.
Were there any decent-looking lamps of this type? ISTR Pifco made a chrome one.
