The time has come to sell my Proflex XP-8 ! Approximately '96 -'97
Not entirely Retro! Drive train and finishing kit is from 2008 (XT/FSA/Easton EA70)
Also a front and rear disc brake conversion using Avid Juicy 5 hydraulics.
Rear brake mount is a Hammerhead type made from 316L stainless steel
Front is made from an aluminium tube section and aluminium channel, welded and then bonded to the fork leg with an aerospace grade epoxy resin, the caliper is then mounted using a Marzzocchi Universal post mount.
The frame is as good as can be expected from a 20 year old frame, with a few touch ups, but original, with no dents.
I have ridden this Proflex since 2008 over all different terrains, yes, it is a "pig" by todays standards, but it still eats up the miles.
I didnt really want to break this bike up into pieces, but would consider if it didnt sell as a whole.
