Sorry to be a picky F***er though, but shouldn't the RC35 stantions be flush with the crown?
I'd be worried about the bottom out because you've reduced the space the tyre has.

Good spot and yes they should be...spotted it when I got back from the ride. Have since sorted it - they were flush when I fitted them so I can only imagine the crown bolts weren't tight enough. I will keep an eye on it though as it unnerved me somewhat!

ah cool - I got paranoid with mine after a NEMBA at Catterick when, Barrie Clark's(i think??) fell out of the crown. Scary stuff.
