I have been trying to post a picture of my 1986 Eddy Merckx. Here is my latest attempt. If this works I will tell the story and post more pictures.

Thanks for the comment. My daughter has a road bike less than one year old, carbon fibre, nice looking, the bike that is, but it is not a classic and she cannot keep pace with me on the Eddy Merckx. She has the day off this Friday and i am knocking off at noon so we can go for a long relaxing ride on some fresh rural pavement.
