Does anyone have/know of a set of 7402 lever hoods that don't cost an arm, leg, kidney, and limb? If so, please PM me.

I don’t but it’s worth noting they are the same as RSX hoods which is the cheapest way of getting them. There’s a couple of sets on eBay not perfect but cheap! I bought a pair off the chap to put on some 6400 brifters which are also the same cleaned up nicely with a bit of wd40.

I feel your pain; they're impossible to find.
I've bought some readily available BL-1055 aero hoods to use on a couple of sets of 7402s I have.
Not a 100% perfect fit but better than anything else out there.

Possibly these from SJS Cycles. I bought a pair before to replace the hoods on a pair of 105SC 1055 brake levers and they are a good fit.

Shimano R400/A410 aero brake lever hoods 86C-9810

These bracket covers can also be used with Shimano BL-1055 levers. Genuine Shimano replacement part.
