I gave up 3 years ago from 30+ a day after a very nasty bout of real 'flu (104 degree temp and tasty hallucinations) which then showed that the fags had been masking atopic asthma.
3 years later and I still every now and again have a NRT sweetie with a beer, but haven't touched a ciggie for the last 2.5 years.
