Things you find in the loft.
Just been having a rummage in the boxes and found the XT seatpost what came off my 1991 GT Zaskar i had a while ago.
Thing is i remembered that when i got the bike i just thought it was a very badly worn anodised version and never gave it a thought about the black lettering and threw it in a box.
Ages later i got a 89/90 Killi Flyer which had a cut down 27.0mm XT post and thought i'll use that one in the loft but i'll respray it black, cue respray and to much paint so wouldn't fit so back in the box it went again.
So today i found it again and thought i'll strip all the paint off and start again, paint stripping done and there's the black writing again.
The thing i was thinking though is how's the writing black if the seatpost is normally anodised black with white writing the seatpost itself is showing no signs of anodising, sooo could it be the silver version Shimano have meant to have done which are meant to be quite rare.
Any thoughts on this possibility.
