Bit of a long story this one, i used to have a mongoose rockadile circa 92, after a big tidy up in the garage i decided my daughters bike was too small for her and that i no longer needed the rockadile!

I have a friend who is a top class welder (nuclear subs) who rewelded it onto a more child friendly size!

I then raided parts and built it up pretty damn light,
sealed bearing headset,
wheels rebuilt with qr hubs and white spokes
maxxis max daddy tyres
new chain, cassette and chainring, with raceface bolts
Shortened Stronglight speedcity cranks and new isis bb
STX SE rear mech
Custom made seatpost with Kore i beam clamp, sdg skylite saddle
Avid Single digit brakes
Bontrager stem, club roost bars
New Shimano revoshift and new mushroom grips.

Has a couple of scrapes to the paint on the frame now, kids eh!

I'm looking for £100 posted for possibly the raddest kids bike around!

Did you shorten the cranks yourself? I'm in the middle of building my son's 20" bike and was looking at getting some decent cranks shortened. I'm in Oke so it would be good to know someone local who can.

Re:

Sorry should have said, 20" wheels!

Shortening the cranks is a bit of a lengthy process, you can either chop and reweld or if the cranks are suitable drill and retap. To be honest it took us that long that if i was to do it again i would just buy some Miche young cranks.
