Couple of brake and shifter questions...

as I said , I doubt you can adjust them enough to make it work .

BB5 cant be adjusted ( only 1 side ) , so best to get proper cani levers .

aye cheers

thinking of using my nice silver MT-62 canti levers, the other options I have (without buying owt!) are my spare Shimano R440 flat bar levers, or some Tektro RX1.0 levers - which I thought were for v-brake but judging by the position of the nipple housing are for canti :?

Another option is swap out the BB5R calipers for the Tektro Aquilas I just found in my stash :) apparently these are ball-bearing actuated too, and they're definitely for use with v-brake levers (ie my Avid SDs) - anybody used these? Like the BB5, the pads are only adjustable on the inner side (but surely taking up the cable slack with barrel adjuster kind of does this anyway?) :?

I'd get Hope brakes because they're ace and keep away from Avid's because they're a pain to work with.

I've heard this so many times! The Elixir R on my mate's Stumpy are incredible though, but I just don't like the lever design either
