Wanted Continental GP 4 Season 700c tyres, ideally 28mm - sorted!

I'm in flinty Hampshire / Dorset and GP5000s seem to last me less than 1000 miles in the summer before they get a fatal cut. How much better are the AS versions?

Is that normal or just one set?

I’ve been on GP4k and 5k ages now and can count maybe 2-3 punctures in the last 5-7 years and that’s all year round riding.

I’ve tried others but always end up back with them.

GP4000, GP5000, all the same story. Lovely fast supple tyres but killed by cuts. Little flint chips shaped like shark teeth about 5mm across seem always to cover the roads, especially after rain and they wither slash tyres open or (more usually) rip sidewalls. I've done well if I get 1500 miles out of one. It's the local geology, it's flint. Live somewhere else and it's fine (I used to live in SW Scotland, never a problem, apart from thorns).

Michelin Pro4 Endurance are my go-to tyre.
