20" GTs are a better fit for long rides, but I am fairly comfortable on the 18s too.

Only 8" taller than me then!!!

I always had 16" GT's. Always wanted a more slopped top tube for clearance but the reach always felt spot-on as I mostly race XC, although did like dabble in trials a lot. 14.5" were just too cramped/felt like riding a kids bike!
