10.35 kg as single speed, a little disappointing, must be the lardy Deore chainset that did it.

I do have ligther cf seatpost and non qr clamp on the way so shoulld shed some grammes. Hope to try it out tomorrow

Not liking the lack if low gears, had to walk up3 hills that would normal pedal up..... which is humiliating.

I did tackle others but this is out of the saddle hard pedalling, i dont mind that but am concerned about getting injuries.

May go 1x9, possibly 11-34 instead of 11-32 on my 3x set ups.

It is now 1x9 as had a 11-34 XT cassette lying around. I was able to ride up all the hills on my local loop although the steepest hill was a slight struggle.

Fitted with a chinese carbon fibre post, colour colded seat clamp and that is about it for now... although I may treat it to a Cannondale saddle instead of the Specialized one.

I've got a OE saddle kicking about some were was taken off my caffeine.
Mint condition with the Cannondale logo stitched on.

... back to this, will be replacing XTR by XT stuff since it may become my commute bike so don't want the expensive stuff getting nicked.

anyone know what year this is from? Is that info. in the frame number?
