Campervan Project

Big progress today, after 4 days of fettling but not a great deal of expense Betsy passed her MoT today. So now we can start on a respray followed by freshening up the interior.

We've pretty much decided on green and grey. The little door is for emptying the cassette toilet.

I can feel some mountain biking camping trips coming up sometime soon.

Brilliant. You have to get some pics of the inside up.

I'm going to buy a 'camper' this year, been promising myself one for years and finally settled on a Mazda bongo as an introduction.

keep looking at a bongo, but correct me if I am wrong aren't they a little thirsty on fuel ?

Pal of mine swapped his 2.5 auto Bongo for a 3 litre petrol Shogun and appreciated the improvement in fuel consumption...

Here's mine...pride and joy VWT5

Love it :D

Ernie ;)

Here's ours:

2.5 4wd Bongo Friendee. VW's were just too expensive, they a have a great following and can be very pimped but too rich for us, and very van like. The bro-in-law converts vans, concentration on VW's to a very high standard. Even with it in the family, still stupid money.
So, we went with the Bongo, and hell, it's called a Bongo Friendee!
