Campagnolo Shifter 9speed to 10speed upgrade

Hi,

I have campagnolo record shifters in an old bike from around 1999/2000. I have checked and they are the upgradeable type (I've recently stripped and rebuilt them). I am trying to source the parts for the upgrade EC-R061 and EC-R062. I can't find the R061 but have come across an R161 - which I think is equivalent but is drilled for weight saving purposes (very marginal gain). I was just looking for some advice from the collective wisdom on here as to whether the 061 and 161 are indeed equivalent? thanks in advance, Martyn

Re:

I'm pretty sure it is compatible.

I took a Chorus 9-speed alloy shifter and converted it to 10 speed using a scruffy 10-speed Record one as a donor for the parts.

I think that all I needed to use were the EC-RE062 and the EC-RE161. I seem to remember having to put in a new spring carrier EC-RE111, but only because the old one was cracked.

Re:

Thanks, I've already replaced the spring carrier as it was cracked. I was just concerned about the 161 vs 061 compatibility.
