Cabinet of curiosities

It is a lovely frame and it will make a lovely bike. The baby blue RIH I got my hands on earlier (signature) turned out to be a little too small unfortunately, but this cherry example should serve well as rider I expect. It came with a mix of bits: Weinmann centre pulls, Suntour Cyclone mechs and retrofriction shifters and Brooks saddle, but also a traditional Dutch bike cockpit  After being retired from racing the bike served as utilitarian bike somewhere during its lifetime. After that it was parked away for two decades.

RIH count as one of the great Dutch names in competition road- and trackbikes. I would love to see more in this thread.

Well, we've got some more pics of Corine's RIH. And I suppose a 20 years old 650c 46 cm RIH will do just fine in a Cabinet of curiosities ;)

This is what it looked like when she bought it...

Corine loves steel which is why she rides this on the track instead of a modern aluminium or carbon track bike. The bike is nearly complete: she still needs a Cinelli 2A stem and a Cinelli track bar, but for the moment the Nitto combo will do.

That is a neat bike Ruimteaapje

I don't have pics of my old Dutch national RIH, but I am sure the new owner is happy with putting up his >>

RIP

I'm speechless. The painter destroyed this Zieleman by dumping something heavy on it, denting the drive-side rear stay beyond repair. I was told it was one of the last frames Ko Zieleman made before he retired.

Beyond repair :?

The entire tail can be replaced if it has to. Ask Vd Kaaij to do it and you have to 1st Zieleman/RIH hybrid ;) Not that it is going to be cheap, but that should be the painter's concern.
