Retro Guru
40 Year old replica caballero teambike 1970.

Build by Jan Janssen: type Tour De France, 1976. In 2012 fully restored and never been used since. Caballero was a Dutch brand of cigarettes at that time and had not a material sponsor. Riders did use their own favorite brand of bike which was to be sprayed by a legendary frame builder “Witte Ko”. The original brand was safed if possible on the head tube. If not there was a anonymous Caballero mexican logo. I build/restore the bike as a tribute to my friend Cees Zoontjens (professional rider) which unfortunately past the way in april 2011.

Frame: : Ishiwata 022 CrMo with Shimano dropouts. Rear vertical. Not yet braze ons for gear shifters on down tube cables and bottle cage. Already braze ons for gear cabling on bracket. Original Jan Janssen headtube picture. Frame build in 1976.
