British Eagle yay or Nay

Pros -
Built to a better standard than the usual mass produced bikes that you might find in the likes of halfords,or a low end shop.

Cons -
Its basic.

Basic yes, but for what it was designed around, pottering, commuting and general leisure cycling, it fits that bill.
Its not a bike to hang XT or XTR or even STX on, but while basic it should with average maintaining last for decades more, if not for want of a better term, indefinitely.

It's a proper British Eagle and it's what mountain bikes looked like in the UK around 1986

I've been around the Peak district on mine with no issues - what on earth would you be expecting from a bike of that era??

And quit it with the Falcon branding, there is no relationship with this British Eagle company and falcon at that time

, <goes for a lie down muttering about yoof of today>
