Bottom bracket and possibly a crank

Hi all

Looking for a decent BB and crank to fit a GT mountain bike frame, or just an octalink BB as I already have a Deore crank.

Or, can you get a decent crank for a square tapered BB?

Does that make any sense?

I got a shimano es30 (octalink) or a shimano un72 (square taper) bb

I already have a square taper BB, but no crank and I have a Deore octalink crank but no BB!

What are you looking for for your octalink BB?

Buy the crank first and then get the BB to fit. Bad idea to buy a Bb first and then buying a crank that will work with the axle length you have. that way you will not get what you want crank wise.

I already have a Deore crank and I was looking for an Octalink bottom bracket for it. However, I also have a number of square taper bottom brackets but don't have a decent crank.

So it looks like I just need an Octalink bottom bracket.
