Don't know about this bike, but I restored a Rekord that had Columbus Zeta tubing.
Sold it to my brother in law (for less than it cost me to restore it...). He left it locked up at the station and it got pinched.
i don't know what tube-set were used to built this frameset... there aren't any columbus or similar sticker...the only graphic that are refeared to the tubeset are "Tubi calibrati 1-20" but i don't know anything else... this bike was the entry-level of bianchi in 1974-75, and probably they use cheaper tubeset ;)

exactly as you say!

is an economic model and were used pipes of poor quality.
the bike is pleasing to the eye and usable on any terrain without fear of breakage :)

I'll offer my congratulations because you use it seriously and uses this as it should be!
"You're a tough guy," , do 10 km on this bike is like 100 km with a "specialissima" :)

if you use it regularly you should replace the bottom bracket and hubs with good quality components (even older). you will notice the distinct difference!
if you will mount the bottom bracket with square pin you will need to replace the crank and spend more money...

thank you very much!
I put in this bike a new set of Shimano R501 wheelset (85€ x 1900gr), a Tiagra 10v 11-35 cassette and a Tiagra 10v short cage rear derailleur...and the bike is change completely...
During Sunday 26th october I ride MiAMi event (a gravel race organized by my local bikeshop F.lli Scavezzon of Mirano-Venice-Italy), closed the 147km in 8h05mins, and during saturay 1st november I ride for 168km... " Mirano-Strà-Padova-Strà-Chioggia-Mirano" in about 8hrs...
Now i'm in contact with an italian young framebuilder for a new and more "professional" frameset... but the "emotions" to close these two gravel rides, with this old bike, are something that I can't explain with a text...
during the Mirano-Chioggia-Mirano, my friend have used an amazing Salsa Warbird (7,2kg) with Sram Force CX11, Enve fork, American Classic Carbon46 tubular wheels and other amazing components... and I rode with my old bianchi... i'll attach here a photo shotted during the ride... as usual, less asphalt possible...only gravel in my mind!!!

I'm now searching a pair of 2x10 shifters, in order to be able to use the entire cassette (a new 10v 11-28 Tiagra)... I've just ordered an adaptator for the frame to permit the use of the "frame-shifters" in the frame without supports...i've also ordered a cheaper Shimano Claris front mech...
the next steps will be a Tiagra Compact 34-50 Crankset with its ITA70 hollowtechII bb and the pair of shifters...
I'm continuing to use this bike during this winter and this spring, with a 1x5 configuration (the old Campagnolo front mech was destroyed by mud during a gravel race and the shifters aren't be able to support more than 6 speed...)...steel is real!

in the meantime I'm finishing to assemble my new road bike (BICE), and this old bianchi will become the bike for the ride with my girlfriend in the italian countryside, with a pannier and travel-bags :)

Re:

I've just exchanged the old campy 3arms and its GiPiEmme bb for a "modern" new Stronglight Triple crankset... I've bought a cheap Shimano Claris front mech (amazing quality for a 16€ front derailleur) but i'll change it for a triple version... and i'll assemble a new pair of shifter on the downtube... new barTape, new seat-tube carrier, two bags... and it will be great for some summer-trip :)

Sweet ! that's a real nice bike you have their mate and it kinda gets wishing i'd still got one of my old road bikes but admittedly none of my bikes had such a lovely colouring although i did have a Peugeot back in the mid 80's that looked similar with a metallic finish and part chromed front forks and rear stays which i sold for silly money unfortunately :( ..

thank you so much!
I must admit that from the mid of august I left this bike my father... he's restoring an old (1972) Legnano, so he is actually without the road bike...
this bianchi is nothing of special... it's very confortable, sure...and with a set of good groupset and a better pair of wheels (this shimano r501 are so smooth and stiff...but they weight 1950gr.... the most convenient wheels if you have a low budjet like me...83€ new...) could be a great bike! but it's a little too slack for me... I love to ride it, but my new BICE is impressive more rigid!!!
I'm now projecting the restoration of another 70-80's steel (yes, i love steel) roadie...
more photos as soon as possible ;)

another winter...so cx tyres again...
and a "new" saddle...
