Yes, it means they're perhaps taking a chance selling a fake item as real.

Plenty of chancers on AE yeah. I don't really buy more expensive things on there unless I've established that the seller is pretty legit. My minivelo frame was one of the most expensive purchases on there.

I wouldn't buy a CK for anywhere near that amount, nevermind a fake one. Seller must have been drinking heavily

The non threadset Kings linked before are fake, made in China, even say "imitation". The other gripnut headsets are from a US seller advertising on Alibaba. The price & the fact that the seller is US based would likely guarantee they are real.
