Basso Cyclocross

Nemimen

Retro Newbie
Hi

I thought that you might be interested in my Basso cyclocross build which i built up by myself and for that I sourced and modified the parts for. Although it is rideable, i am not fully satisfied with it and have a few things to change here and there. (But i will keep you updated on my plans and progress) But as it was finally rideable, I could not help myself, rode it to the woods and made a few pictures.

I assume that it is a 1990ies frameset, but I am not sure about it. I chose to build it up with a 70ies / 80ies Nuovo Record group as I had half of the groupset already lying around. The period-incorectness may bother you but I like the look of it and it suits the steel frame nicely. I may change it as soon as I am able to source a period correct CX frame but I fear that this is not going happen too soon.

I present you my Basso, hopefully to your liking.
(As I found out, the picture uploader in this forum is kind of a b**ch, so I will just put a link and a teaser pic here)

What an absolute cracker! Stunning!
Never has black looked so good :)
Very well done. It looks like it would be so nice to ride, looks like it weighs nothing.

I did not quiet understood what you tried to imply with your post;9
But thank you all for your compliments:)

Maybe I will update you soon on the aero cable routing hack / mod as the bars are bent (Crashed?) and drilled wich both Bothers me, especially for cx  . (When I got them, they were drilled already.) But for that I have to get hold of some (preferably even wider) Cinelli bars which could take a moment.

I will keep you updated:)
