You think these would be fine to run with a 33 tire? Or too narrow? Internet says they're 19.8 wide, but I'm out of my element here!

This page indicates that as per the 1990 Araya Catalogue they are designed for 700c x35 or even x38 so I’d say yes to 33.

They were hybrid rims from the hybrid / city bikes in the early 90’s, so yes; not really thin tyres.
