any plumbers want to lend a hand?

woken up at 5am this morning by our boiler letting go and allowing gallons of nice cold mains water to wash our kitchen, whether we wanted it or not!

So, buildings are covering the squidgy kitchen units, contents covering electrical goods.

But, the boiler... It served us well during these two cold winters and for at least 12 years previously but now something popped inside and allowed the water out.

I've isolated the mains supply so we have water in the taps again, a power shower takes care of hygiene but not sure about the boiler. Looks like we're going to have to foot the bill.

Check the pressure release valve,we had s similar thing happen a few years ago and the pressure pipe that vents outside had got blocked and the pressure backed up and pushed the hose off......

Alternately,if your feed pipe for topping up the boiler pressure has been leaking a little it may have caused the safety valve to vent and if blocked,it would flood your kitchen.......
