may only be icarus but its still expensive crap though
my cannondale runs a right mix of stuff from olympus/euclid/centaer and icarus
doesnt have the same finish as record but it works and it keeps on working
in my opinion thats where campag scores in that you can take it apart and lube it or rebuild it but mr sh@@@@o likes you to buy a new one
had a record or chainset- it was so nice couldnt justify getting it dirty- so sold it
got a set of 8 speed thumbshifters coming that make up another off road group will be built up onto a rather nice dave hinde dragon alloy frame with quadra 21 forks
will try and post pics when i finish it

On the RecordOR vs Icarus thing: I read somewhere the RecordOR crankset uses an alloy cassette (the 2 innerrings are a cassette) and the Icarus a steel one.

What would you choose?

I prefer a steel cassette. A bit more weight, but more durable. That I will have will have a hard time finding a replacement for such a worn cassette, makes me prefer a steel one even more.
