Another SBDU Team Pro 753

I've recently added another TI-Raleigh 753 to the SBDU collection, SB3800. This one is from 1980 and is a 57 cm 753 (my size). It was resprayed at some point in the mid 80s and still in excellent condition. It has a lovely mix of Super Record/Record and Suntour Superbe Pro. All I've had to do is replace the rims and tyres, fit a Turbo saddle and fit new bar tape.

All the frame needed was a few touch ups. I also replaced the 753 fork blade transfers with the correct circular TI transfer.

Re:

Looking very good & maybe yellow benotto bar tape would be better.. But a very nice frame..

Thank you both... it is a lovely bike.

I personally think yellow tape looks too much on these bikes. If white was good enough for the TI-Raleigh team then it's good enough for me :)

looks very nice indeed!

those rims look interesting - are they black, or more a dark grey like the mavic CD coating?

They are H PLUS SON TB14 rims - very much inspired (according to their website blurb) by the classic steel era box section rims. They aren't a gloss finish like Mavic hard anodised, but they are more like a dark grey hard anodised rim with a welded and machined brake surface.

I wanted a classic looking rim but wanted something new and these really fit.
