Another e-stay Overburys surfaces

Most of the pioneers I've come across have been Columbus. Only the very early seems to be Reynolds. But that's guess work from what I've owned and seen on the site

I've hit another seam of e-stay information, and this one is golden.
I've been in contact with a guy called Tobit who, along with his Brother, used to race for Overburys in the early 90's.
He has loads of old race pics, but it was this one that caught my eye....



He's told me that this was the prototype e-stay, and Andy gave it to him to try out. He raced it for a while and then moved onto a standard Pioneer.
I asked about the paint scheme. Apparently this was driven by Andy, and was chosen as it matched the brother club kit at the time.
They then changed to a purple and green scheme (anyone remember the repaired e-stay in Brighton??).
Tobit still rides his Pioneer in its original green/purple team colours now

I'll update this thread as and when I get more info from Tobit. I'm hoping to go for a ride with him at some point, and have a proper natter.
