Hi all, I wasn't sure who to contact about this so I just put a post up instead.

My name's Aaron and I'm a keen Mountain Biker based in Tayside and although unfortunately I don't own a Retro anymore......it's purely temporary ;)

I organise Mountain Bike events for Muckmedden http://www.muckmedden.co.uk and The Scottish Mountain Bike Consortium http://www.thesmbc.co.uk and this September we're organising the first ever Angus Cycling Festival at Reid Park in Forfar http://www.facebook.com/anguscyclehub.

We'd love to get as many Retro/Vintage/Weird/Cool BMX's/MTB's/Road Bikes there as possible riding the trails, pump-track, Airbag or just generally looking cool! It should be a cracking event with loads going on with a Demo Day, Muckmedden's "Forfar Funduro", Pump Track Challenge, Airbag, Kids XC and Balance Bike Races and loads of other free attractions.

Lots more things in the planning at the moment which will surface over the next couple of weeks.

We'd love to offer you guys a free stand at the event FOC if you're interested in coming along? This could be a stand that merely shows off your bikes or you can also sell parts, gear and merchandise and have a bit of a trade stand.

If you'd like to know more please contact me at; aaron@thesmbc.co.uk

Cheers!

We'll look into this Aaron, I'm away that weekend unfortunately (actually on a bike too) but we have members in the area with enough bikes to fill Hamden that live close enough :)

Re:

That's great The Ken, the more the merrier! Reid Park is absolutely massive so we can accommodate as many as you guys can muster. Shame you'll be away, but at least you'll be riding your bike

Re:

Small world Aaron, Scott Francis asked me to pop a wee post about this up on RetroBike too :D

I could let loose the 'Bontrager Experimental' for the weekend.
It would be an opportunity to see first hand how KB combined multi materials in a single frame. This was his own bike for 16 years or so and was used as a testbed for components he designed.
If you think there may be any enthusiasm, let me know.

More info on this bike can be found on this site by searching 'experimental'
