So this is my girlfriends bike, formerly her nans which has sat in the garden for the better part of a decade.
She wanted to get it going again and so here it is, with lots of bits from the parts bin.
All things considered it wasn't in too bad condition, apart from the cranks that were stripped and the stem/handlebars which were completely roached.
Since it's only going to be used on some gentle rides I wanted to simplify it a bit, so now we have a 1x7 setup with a nice Shimano trigger shifter over the twist grip ones it came with. Some ebay cranks, a 7 speed freewheel, new set of v-brakes and some rubber were all that was needed.
Will be interesting trying it out once the tyres arrive on Tues.
