99 GT Karakoram

A few photos of a ‘lockdown project’ that finally saw the light of day this week.

The 99 Karakoram was the one I lusted after as a school kid flicking through the pages of MBUK (who didn’t think triple triangles were the best thing ever!?).

It wasn’t the fanciest bike on the market, didn’t have the raddest paint job, but happy to have put together an almost factory identical build in a good condition all round.

This may have to turn into a for sale post, so do DM if interested. But for now, here it is in all its Reynolds glory -

That's a mean looking Karakoram, nice photography too. Love it. I am currently working on a 99 GT too, this one is a mere timberline though. If you don't mind measuring, I could use the axle-to-crown length for that original rigid fork, it looks quite long?
