97 Zaskar - the monster begins

I had a look at the 1997 catalogue and this has to be a zaskar LE as the zaskar had seat clamps seperate and yours is integrated.

IT could transpire that it's not a Zaskar, but all the usual clues and tell-tales are present, just this seat binder thing that's throwing people.. :?

1997 zaskar le has a seat binder exactly like this. So it is a zaskar chap

I always thought the LE moniker was just a spec thing, rather than any frame difference..

When I bought My Zaskar come without Decals so I can not also confirm but was advertise as Zaskar, if LE or not.... :roll:

...if I remember correctly the LE was a lightened and strengthened version of the std Zaskar. If you look at the framset pictures towards the bottom of the catalogue in coombers thread you should see that the rear dropout design is different and the LE has a reinforced headtube....of course I could be talking bull****
