I've seen the thread, in fact I've searched and read most Marin threads on here it's a lovely original bike, my frs is similarly unabused.
You're missing the correct Marin lite rubber bar end plugs specifically for bars with bar ends... I have a spare pair you can have for nowt if you want to get a bit more original

Probably even rarer than the saddle seeming as they are mostly smashed against a wall or the ground....
