That looks awfully similar to my 92 Apex, hard to tell from the pics. But nice none the less, what I'd do for another.

Flush them with a degreaser, then leave with a thicker oil like 3in1. The Shimano grease thickens and stuffs up the ratchet mechanism. An easy way to get cheap shifters too.
