The paint is nice but its not as nice as the 'midnight aurora' from my '91 team avalanche.

Sweet, loving that. I thought the elite was like a midnight blue type colour, that one you have there looks just like my old 1991 Tequesta.

And I though I'd digested the entire 1991 catalogue! still got it somewhere - worn

That is one cool paint job. I wonder how difficult it would be to replicate?

Love the steel GT's. That Elite frame looks very much like my K2 frame, does it have a groove tube or proper internal cable routing?

The brake cable is routed inside the tube and the gears are under the downtube. The groove tube came in '92.
It looks very much like the tequesta but the kari is darker.

K2 became the elite the next year, nice bike for 500 notes BITD, I had 2 - yep I liked em.

RBG
