For under 10x the price, you'd probably get a Carrera Subway or similar from Halfords. They are decent enough bikes - especially considering inflation. Whether it is assembled right or what the aftercare is likely varies from store to store unfortunately.

I saved a 27.5er Carrera from scrap over the weekend - it needed a bit of tlc but yeah it did ride pretty well. Sold it on for £60 - which covered the cost of the project Hahanna I picked up Saturday.
The modern stuff isn’t as nice looking as the above and won’t last as long either.
