This belonged to my club chairman who bought it new in 1983 from Wheelers Cycles in Ayr - no point looking it has gone!

Its a 22.5" frame in 531, complete with headset, bb and seatpin. Seatpin is fluted for neat tightening bolt (see pics). Chrome is good but the paint is starting to bubble and rust in places as was used on a turbo for a while. Would make a cool fixie with horizontal dropouts.

PRICE DROP now £125 posted down from £150 plus postage (item located in Ayr)

Pics here:

Also for sale pair of 170 campag cranks, Stratos I believe, fair condition - would look good with a polish. £25 posted.

Pictures keep moving on in a slide show but can't see a seat bolt........does the seat post have an expander in it that tightens it in place from the top like a quill stem?

Looks nice :D

Had a hunt around the internet and they made the frames with the seatbolt like you have and also with no seat bolt which needed a seatpost like a quill stem in a very funny size......

Having said that it's a very classy frame, way too good for a fixie and deserves a good home. Just wondering if Cumbria would suit.......

GLWTS :)

They came with expander seatpins, seatpin bolts and the sort that this is which uses a grub screw that basically screws in and snags into the seatpin in a manner similar to the later Vitus frames.
