What kind of steerer do you need?

The headtube is 150mm. 35mm for a stem and headset each added to that and some extra to allow for adjustment means I'd like a 240mm steerer ideally. 1.125" headset size.
Unfortunately the Z1 crown is press fitted to the steerer so I need to find a bolted steerer crown.

The one and only Steve Worland answered my wanted ad for some 230mm+ steerer forks with 3 different options!
I couldn't afford the carbon forks but the offer of these two beauties for a fab price meant I couldn't say no.



Black ones are Salsa CroMoto with a 300mm steerer (YOWSERS!), the white ones are On-One cromo disc forks with a 260mm steerer.

Finished! Owner has ridden it and it fits really nicely so I am well chuffed. Some nice kit on it so the price it cost is a bargain compared to what you could buy off the shelf.























And a special touch for the new owner......
